Its a place you WANT to return to after a tiring day, or a partying night out! Go for it. Tea coffee, wifi, ac rooms, well serviced bathrooms are all there. There’s no room service or restaurants attached to hotel., as its just a matter of stepping out for yr choice of food. So the sounds of music and happy people at pubs n cafes, can reach you, as the hotel is within the city center, the promenade, and all the exciting sights n tours of the old town & palace. Just remember Split is a haven for nightlife. Plaza Marchi is a monument of the world cultural heritage, as it features the well preserved parts of the west wall and the substructure halls of Diocletian’s Palace, which is the UNESCO world heritage monument.Įnjoy the blend of old walls with modern amenities, well appointed rooms, and the ever so caring staff and reception desk.
Today, Plaza Marchi returns its original name as a tribute to the family that played a significant role in the history of Split and its citizens. The building was later donated to the town of Split. Plaza Marchi used to be a shelter for orphaned and poor children, run by the Marchi family. We are usually hesitant to stay at brand new hotels, but I was really drawn to this one after seeing the photos and fortunately my instincts were right this time:) I actually would've expected to pay more for such a nice room. Staff recommended some wonderful restaurants nearby and all of their recommendations were spot on. Island is very peaceful with two small fishing villages and lots of Mediterranean herbs and plants. There are no cars on the island but there is a secure parking for our guests on the mainland. It is a gorgeous hotel, beautifully designed interior, and great location close to everything. We slept great- the beds were the perfect amount of firmness, and I am very picky about my mattresses! I would absolutely stay here again. The staff was delightful and very helpful. They really paid attention to detail when they designed this little gem, and as a very frequent traveler I could appreciate the little features like this that set them apart from every other hotel. They even had US adapters for their outlets! I always forget to bring one- this was such a nice touch. Definitely won't find another hotel like this in Split. Such a comfy place to chill and listen to music, and very unique.

The Bluetooth enabled lounge chair was my favorite. Love how modern and high tech the rooms are! Not at all what I expected for Croatia.
